Elevate Your Outdoors: Anti-Slip Premium Yellow Balau Hardwood Decking
If you’re looking for a deck that combines high-end luxury with unyielding year-round safety, our Anti-Slip Yellow Balau Decking is built to deliver.
Engineered for ultimate peace of mind, this 145mm x 28mm heavy-duty profile features two high-grip resin inserts permanently bonded into the grooves. By pairing the natural, incredible density of Yellow Balau hardwood with specialised anti-slip technology, you get a luxury surface that significantly reduces slip hazards, even in wet, shady, or high-foot-traffic areas.
Key Features & Benefits
Built-In Anti-Slip Protection: Two factory-bonded aggregate resin strips run along the board to provide exceptional traction underfoot, making it the ideal choice for steps, pool surrounds, commercial spaces, or damp garden spots.
Class 1 Durability: Rated as a Class 1 durability timber, Yellow Balau naturally resists rot, fungal decay, and insect attack without the need for harsh chemical treatments.
Structural Strength: At 28mm thick, this heavy-duty board feels rock-solid underfoot and is far less prone to warping or flexing than standard commercial alternatives.
Stunning Natural Aesthetics: When fresh, the timber glows with warm golden-brown and reddish hues. If left untreated, it matures gracefully into a sophisticated silvery-grey "driftwood" tone while maintaining its slip-resistant performance.
Fine Grain Texture: Features a tight, interlocking grain that offers a premium, commercial-grade look and feel across your entire outdoor space.
Yellow Balau is exceptionally dense. We strongly recommend pre-drilling pilot holes and using high-quality stainless steel decking screws to prevent snapping and avoid unsightly tannin reactions.
To maintain its rich golden glow, apply a high-quality UV-rated decking oil shortly after installation (taking care around the resin strips). If you prefer a low-maintenance setup, let it weather naturally; it will remain structurally sound for 20+ years.
Storage & Timber Characteristics: To preserve timber quality before installation, please store boards completely dry and sheltered from moisture. As a natural product, timber reacts to atmospheric changes, which can lead to minor splits, shakes, or movement. These are natural characteristics rather than defects. We always recommend adding a 10% allowance for cuts and wastage when placing your order.
Profile Compatibility Note: This is a specific anti-slip board profile and is not a direct match to standard dual-profile timber or items previously sold. If you are attempting to match an existing deck, don't hesitate to get in touch with our team before placing your order.
