Red Balau hardwood decking is a popular choice for outdoor spaces due to its rich redbrown color and interlocked grain. Its natural beauty adds warmth and character to any outdoor setting, making it a sought-after material for decking projects.

Why Choose Balau Decking?

We proudly refer to Balau hardwood decking as the "Rolls Royce" of decking materials for several compelling reasons:

Designed for Durability: Perfectly suited to the UK's climate, Balau decking is hard-wearing, knot-free, and aesthetically pleasing, showcasing a blend of rich orangey-brown hues.

Safety First: The anti-slip properties make it an ideal choice, particularly in areas prone to moisture. Originally used for marine applications, its design effectively combats slipping hazards.

Natural Resistance: With built-in resistance to fungal decay and insect damage, Balau is a tropical hardwood known for its tight grain, ensuring longevity and robustness.

At eDecks, we are committed to providing only the finest products. Beware of competitors selling substandard Balau; your investment deserves the best.

To maintain the stunning appearance of your hardwood decking, we strongly recommend using Ronseal Decking Oil. Applying this treatment will accentuate the wood's beautiful colours and is an affordable choice for upkeep.

To minimize splitting, we recommend using Spax woodscrews.

Make sure to read our comprehensive care guide to ensure your hardwood decking remains in prime condition.

Important Note: To preserve the quality of your Balau decking, please keep it dry and sheltered from moisture until installation. As a natural product, timber can undergo movement due to atmospheric conditions, which may result in splits, shakes, or warping. These occurrences are normal and not classified as defects. We recommend allowing for a small percentage of waste when placing your order.
