3.0m x 3.0m Hardwood IPE Deck Kit (With Handrails)
"IPE, Truly The King Of Decking............ Simply Breathtaking!"
Supplied in this kit is everything you need to complete a deck 3.0m x 3.0m Including joists, screws, hand and baserails, newels and spindles plus a front and side fascia board (as photos)
Ipe Decking has a rich dark brown colour with beautiful grain characteristics. Also known as Brazilian Walnut or Iron-wood, an Ipe deck will gradually age to a lustrous silver-grey if left untreated. It can be oiled or stained to retain its rich brown colour.
Ipe, prounounced "eepay" Is the strongest and most resilient natural untreated decking material available on the market today. An increasingly popular choice for both commercial and residential decking; it truly is the best decking product available in terms of strength, stability, durability, and natural resistance to decay, wet conditions, and infestation by termites and wood borers of all types. Our Ipe contains no harmful chemicals and can be used near water with no worry of contamination.
Ipe Decking has a class A fire rating, the same rating given to concrete and steel. Ipe Decking is an economical natural alternative to other decking options when the entire life cycle of the deck or outdoor project is considered. Its rich color and natural grain is breathtaking and is certain to provide a lifetime of beauty.
Ipe Decks will maintain their structural integrity as they age. To retain the rich brown colour, we recommend a high quality penetrating oil finish. Regular cleaning and reapplication of an oil finish will ensure that the wood retains its beauty for many years.
Please note; The hardwood newels, spindles and rails are actually a hardwood called Sepele, which is very close to IPE in density, colour and texture. Although our experienced, in house purchasing team source hardwoods from all over the world, we found an IPE handrail system would have been far too expensive for the UK market, hence offering this alternative. As you can see from the photos, its a close match!
The IPE and Sepele on the photos are virgin timber and have not been treated or oiled with any product.
